Deborah Dudgeon
Deborah Dudgeon's career shows an almost unhealthy interest in criminal justice. Over the years she has investigated miscarriages of justice for "Trial and Error" (Channel 4), the disappearance of Lucie Blackman and World Cup ticket touts for "Dispatches" (Channel 4), a series on forensic psychology for Channel 5, and forensic science for the BBC. Last year she produced "The Young Governors" - a Radio 4 series following trainee prison governors on an intensive training scheme.
She does lighten up sometimes. She spent four years at Radio 4, as a researcher, then producer on Breakaway, Going Places and You and Yours. She moved into television with The Travel Show, visiting enticing destinations such as rural Japan and ex-Soviet Georgia and getting paid for it.
She works occasionally at The Media Trust, as an executive producer on films for charities and other non-profit organisations, and writes about social enterprise. She is currently producing a two-part series on the social history of AIDS, to go out on Radio 4 in November.
