Louise Adamson
Filming show jumping rabbits in Denmark for a film about the Danes’ ambivalence towards the Euro was a memorable moment. “Can’t they jump any higher?” I said to the man with the big moustache. He didn’t think so.
Louise Adamson’s career as a producer and reporter has included a number of broadcasting highlights. One of her first jobs was on Breakfast Time where she covered numerous news items – as well as supervising a phone-in about teenage skin problems and producing some of Russell Grant’s horoscope spots. She went on to do a stint as the BBC’s Europe Producer in Brussels, during which time she filmed in French vineyards, Belgian chocolate factories and German car plants. Returning to the UK, Louise entered the world of high finance when she joined The Money Programme… and got to film in a few more car factories.
Louise now works as a TV and radio producer and reporter, and is part of the team which makes ‘The Reunion’ series for Whistledown. She recently relived her musical memories of the 1980’s as her latest project for Whistledown combined pop and politics in a programme about Red Wedge – the musicians who came together to encourage young people to vote Labour.
