Churchill Confidential
Churchill Confidential
For over sixty years, the notebooks of one of Britain’s most senior wartime civil servants have been lying in the archives of the Cabinet Office in Admiralty Arch in London.. unopened. As the contents of those books were made public, revealing for the first time, the verbatim detail of the often tense debates at the heart of Winston Churchill’s wartime cabinet, Whistledown productions brought them to life.
In a special one off drama documentary programme hailed as “one of the highlights of the year” Charles Wheeler guides us through the hand written papers of Norman Brook the cabinet undersecretary. Bringing together a stellar cast of actors to recreate the mood of those wartime meetings in Churchill Confidential.
